Toto La Momposina

Andrea is a Colombian Mestizo Artist and Anthropologist who started hitting the
tables making rhythms since she was a little girl. She liked to involve people in
artistic activities at every family gathering. There were no musicians in her family
and music was not supported as a career, but at the age of 20, when she was
already working on her own and studying at the university, she was caught by the
sound of a drum and began her odyssey through Colombia doing hitch hicking,
she went to get her drum in one of the most emblematic coastal towns, where the
traditional manufacturers of these instruments and began her self-taught
apprenticeship and also based on her research and permanence within the
territories and groups that possess these traditions… on a par with her career.
Andrea has traveled the world by different countries from Europe and Latin
America, with her drums and singing, participating in numerous musical projects
and as an actress in theatrical projects.
She is currently strengthening her project as a soloist: PercuFlora.
