Northern California Pigeon Fanciers is a group of people that raise and show pigeons. There are five major pigeon clubs and shows in California and often you can find pigeons being shown at poultry shows. Racing pigeons is a whole different sport, with races up to six hundred miles.

Our exhibit shows a great example of some of the rarer breeds you’ll find in the United States. In this exhibit we’re showing many breeds that have been imported from Germany, France, Spain and around the world.

Worldwide, there are over 800 breeds of pigeons that come in more than 50 colors.
