Marcia’s career started when she was 17 and joined a choir, in which she was a soloist in the state of Goias, Brazil. She professionally began to sing in Brazil in 1986. She has been singing MBP, Bossa Nova and Samba ever since, inspired by people such as Tom Jobim, Elis Regina, Gal Gosta, The Caymme Family, Chico Buarque, Vinicius de Moraes, and many others. She first moved to the US in 2015 and has since met great musicians such as Marcos Silva, Scott Thompson, Alex Calatayud, Kevin Welch, Phil Thompson, Billy Larkin, Patrick Lengan and many others. Today she is part of a band called “Mais Bossa,” and they perform all throughout California!
