Viva El Mariachi: 2025 Youth Mariachi Competition

For over 170 years, the California State Fair has been the one constant setting for celebrating and showcasing the “Best of California.”

The California State Fair seeks to continue that legacy by highlighting the contributions of groups and individuals who have helped shape the heritage of California. This year’s CA State Fair, from July 11 – 27, will celebrate the rich tradition of mariachi music that has helped weave the social and cultural tapestry of California.

The recent revival of mariachi in California’s schools ensures that it will continue to grow and to touch the people of this state and beyond. Consequently, the CA State Fair is seeking to bring the best young mariachis from throughout the state to compete for the title of “The Best” of California!

2025 Participating Counties:

Invited teams will have the opportunity to compete against counties from around the state and enjoy a night performances by some of the biggest Mariachi artist on Sunday, July 20. All teams will showcase their talents in front of viewers from around the state and competing for cash prizes by finishing in the top 3 places.
