In order to complete this application, you’ll need to fill out the form below including a Megan’s Law Form, provide proof of insurance, and copies of handouts to be used at your booth by July 1, 2024. The CA State Fair will provide a 10′ x 10′ outdoor ground space, (1) 8 ft. table, and (2) chairs. All other items needed for booth space are the responsibility of the participant. Consider bringing a cart with wheels for easy carry out (no vehicles allowed on grounds after 10:30 am, this includes evening carry out!).).

A sign stating the following rules must be next to the box for entries:
– Need not be present to win.
– No purchase necessary.
– Entry forms also available at ________ (This must be an alternate location in the Sacramento area or on the web with no admission charge).

All approved drawings should be held and completed on the event date, but absolutely must be held no later than Sunday, July 30, 2023, by 10 p.m. Holding your drawing after this deadline makes it invalid and may affect your ability to hold drawings/raffles at future California State Fairs.

Solicitation for the drawing must take place only in your space. You and you only must conduct all drawings. Any information obtained from the drawing entry blank is to be used strictly by you and is not to be sold or given to another company or individual except for the California State Fair.

You also agree that there will be no games, gambling, or any other activity on the premises in which money is used as a prize or premium nor can you buy back discount coupons for cash. Raffles requiring the payment of money or other items of value will not be allowed under any circumstances.

Only free drawings that comply with all applicable federal, state and local statutes and ordinances will be permitted. Failure to abide by any of the above guidelines will jeopardize any use of drawings in future Fairs.

Please see guidebook for electrical guidelines. All electrical installations must conform to the Electrical Safety Code of the State of California. Your electrical needs will be determined from the information provided on your application. If upon arrival, your electrical needs have increased, an electrical fee will be charged. A flat fee will be charged per outdoor 110 volts, 500 watts unless otherwise indicated. Hardwire is also a flat fee per connection.

Each exhibitor must provide the California State Fair a certificate of General Liability Insurance of not less than $1,000,000 naming Cal Expo as an additional insured with the specific endorsement listed below and in the guidebook. Please check the form of insurance you are providing.

Credentials for parking and admission will be issued based upon approval and the information provided on this form & names submitted for Megan’s Law. Number of admission tickets requested must match Megan’s Law entries. The California State Fair reserves the right to limit the number of admission, parking and loading passes. Please carpool when possible.

Megan's Law
POLICY: One of the fundamental responsibilities of the California Exposition & State Fair (Cal Expo) is to protect the public. In 1998, Cal Expo implemented a policy requiring that all persons conducting business with, employed by, or volunteering at Cal Expo shall provide the necessary personal information to enable their names to be searched through the Department of Justice’s Megan’s Law files. This file consists of records of individuals convicted of specific sex offenses who are required by Penal Code Section 290 to register as sex offenders. This form must be completed legibly, with all information requested, or it will not be accepted. Typewritten forms may be substituted but must contain the same information in the columnar form and be attached to this form and including names of the person/company, on each page. Submit the information promptly to the Cal Expo Personnel Office prior to the event. **sworn officers and active military are exempt from the process.**

Note: This form is an application for free, outdoor, space only, and is neither a commitment by the applicant nor an offer by the California State Fair to rent space. All information provided should be complete and accurate. All exhibit spaces are 10’ x10’ unless otherwise agreed upon. All contents of exhibits must be approved in advance. Exhibit space is for indicated “Type of Activity” ONLY. No selling, soliciting donations or money exchange allowed. No exhibitor will be released prior to 8 pm, NO EXCEPTIONS.
