Donation Requests

Due to the high volume of requests we receive, we can only support recognized non-profit 501(c)(3) organizations or schools within California.

Donation Request Guidelines

  • The organization must be a charitable, 501(c) organization or school.
  • The organization must be a local, in-state charitable foundation.
  • The donation must be for a fundraising event.
  • A valid Tax ID number must be provided.
  • All requests must be received a minimum of six (6) weeks before the event.
  • Your organization’s 990 forms must have been updated in the past two years.
  • Your organization may only receive one (1) donation from the Cal Expo & State Fair within a calendar year (January – December).

After the form has been submitted electronically, we will contact you only if we are able to process your request.

We do not mail donations. If approved, your organization will need to pick up the package at the Cal Expo Administration Building during business hours, Monday through Friday, between 10 am and 4 pm.

 

If you do not pick up your donation package before your event date, you will not be able to claim it as it will processed back to admissions.
