Misty Polasik
Rabbit Showmanship
Our rabbit showmanship judge this year is Misty Polasik. Misty is a licensed judge with the American Rabbit Breeders Association. She graduated from UC Davis with a dual degree, then earned a juris doctor degree from Trinity Law school. She works for the Inspector General’s Office in Sacramento.
She also raises Californian and Lilac show rabbits in Placerville, and competes in rabbit shows with her daughters. They have won multiple convention and National breed awards, Best in Show awards, and meat pen competitions.
Misty was a member of FFA as a youth exhibitor, and champion showman with her cattle and horse projects. She coaches a small animal master showmanship project and also raises foundation Appaloosa horses. Her husband and their daughters enjoy welcoming the new foals in Spring and trail riding.
Encouraging youth showmen and being selected twice by ARBA youth to judge convention best in show are her most rewarding judging moments.
