A San Francisco native, Linda is a Third-Generation Japanese American who began her lifelong Origami journey at age 5. She is an award-winning Origami designer of complex Origami art, and her works have been exhibited in museums worldwide, including most recently at the Asian Art Museum in San Francisco. Her commercial works include Origami designs for Mitsubishi Motors, McDonald’s, Chanel, and Hermès.
Linda shares her love for origami at cultural festivals and events worldwide. In addition, she is a columnist for the Nichi Bei News and also hosts Free Fold Origami Saturdays online. Linda is part owner and manager of Paper Tree in San Francisco’s Japantown, a family-owned Legacy Business, now celebrating its 57th year.
