Rene Dayan
Rene is a SF Bay area artist known for abstract/organic stone sculptures. Throughout her personal and professional life, Rene has been involved with form in three dimensions: dancing, costume design, product development and design, art classes, masks, and now sculpture.
Her work is an expression of the dance of form, movement and transformation. The subject and forms of the work emerge from a personal definition of alchemy, myth and time, concepts that are both physical and metaphysical.
She has shown in many juried shows and galleries in San Francisco and throughout the Bay Area, including most recently Sonoma County Museum – A Matter of Balance, Sebastopol Center for the Arts – Illuminating Perspectives, Art Inspired by Travel – Commonwealth Club of California – San Francisco, Sausalito Center for the Arts – Finding the Form – Bay Area Sculpture.
She has been active in the arts community, on the steering committee for Art at the Source Open Studios, and Art Trails Open Studios as well as participating annually in Art for Life.
Awarded many prizes by Marin County Art Fair for Excellence in Sculpture, published in American Art Collector and City Star in San Francisco.
