Irma Vega Bijou
Is an American artist and visual arts educator based in California. Has dedicated herself to the study and research of ceramics, creating and teaching custom designed programs for various arts and educational centers. For several decades have concentrated on multi-cultural and multimedia projects, most of them in combination with information and tools to create environmental awareness and ecological sustainability, working with clay and other materials, while pursuing the creative process.
She has curated and co-curated art exhibits that focus on expanding multiculturalism, multiethnic and inclusiveness in the creative process, and has been guest artist at several Universities and art schools, most recently the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
She has exhibited Nationally and Internationally; her ceramics, sculptures, paintings and architectural installations are part of National and International collections.
