The California State Fair prides itself in showcasing California’s best commercial wine, cheese, craft brew, and extra virgin olive oil. This competition designates the best extra virgin olive oils which are grown, processed and packaged in California.

The judges for the California State Fair Extra Virgin Olive Oil Competition are professional sensory evaluators with expertise in olive oil tasting, analysis, and backgrounds in sensory science, production, and related fields. All judges must fully disclose any industry involvement and are assigned only to entries where no conflict of interest could be perceived.
No, only Extra Virgin Olive Oils need to be sent with lab test results.
