Micah Clasper-Torch is a fiber artist and educator whose work is centered around the traditional craft of punch needle rug hooking.  Her approach to Punch Needle is rooted in historical technique, while passionately encouraging new applications for the craft and championing its visibility in the fiber art world.  In 2019 Micah was formally trained as an Oxford Punch Needle Instructor at the Oxford Rug Hooking School in Vermont, and in 2020 she launched Punch Needle World, an online community, shop and educational platform dedicated to uplifting the craft and its history, and making high quality supplies and training accessible around the world. Micah’s work has been displayed in galleries and featured in various print and online publications including Koel Magazine, Mollie Makes, Love Embroidery and Rug Hooking Magazine, and she has taught punch needle to thousands of students through her online courses at Domestika and Punch Needle Academy.
