The Bernese Mountain Dog Club of America, Inc. (BMDCA) annual National Specialty show is a week-long showcase celebrating the Bernese Mountain Dog, a striking, large, sturdy tri-colored farm dog recognized by the AKC in the Working Group. Attendees from across the country will compete at myriad dog show events:
Sunday/Monday, April 2-3: AKC Herding Trials/Tests – Patterson CA (entries open to all-breeds with preference to Bernese*)
Monday, April 3: AKC Tracking Tests – Mather CA (entries open to all-breeds with preference to Bernese*)
Tuesday, April 4: Events begin at Cal Expo – AKC Agility Trial; BMDCA Draft Test (entries to both events limited to Bernese)
Wednesday, April 5: Two AKC Farm Dog Certification Tests (open to all-breeds with preference to Bernese*)
AKC Conformation Classes begin; AKC Obedience Classes (entry limited to Bernese). Day-of-show entries for each test are still available!
Thursday, April 6: Conformation Classes continue. Rally Classes (entry limited to Bernese)
Evening: Top 20 “Summer of Love” Gala
Friday, April 7: Conformation Classes continue. AKC Scent Work Trial (open to all breeds with preference to Bernese*)
BMDCA Draft Test (entry limited to Bernese)
Saturday, April 8: Conformation Classes continue. BMDCA Draft Test (entry limited to Bernese)
Sunday, April 9: Junior Showmanship. Best of Breed judging.

Free admission (other than parking fees) to all events. In addition to the dog show events, there will be various vendors and food concessions daily.
