We’re celebrating the CA State Fair throughout the years and the lives we’ve touched. We’ve been there for gender reveals and wedding proposals, and we want to hear your story!
Do you have a love story from the Fair? Did you get a special Blue Ribbon award or enter a competition? Or did you win a 6 feet tall teddy bear from the Carnival?

Gender reveal at the CA State Fair Ferris Wheel – it’s a girl!
Captured this beautiful sunset last July. I love all the beautiful photo opportunities.

My favorite moment was riding roller coaster last year with my 5 year old son for the first time. He laughed at me the entire ride, while I was screaming!! My kids also loved the water slides.

Our first date was to the State Fair in 2015. We came with friends but ended up ditching them to ride the Ferris wheel together. Now we have been married for a year and a half!

My favorite fair story is from 2017. This was the second year I entered the Baking Competition. I entered several different kinds of cookies and a Chocolate Sea Salt Caramel. To my utter delight, all of the entries won first or second place.
My Chocolate Sea Salt Caramels won first place and best of division! A more experienced confectioner may not have attempted caramels in the Sacramento heat, but I’m a home cook and decided just to go for it! I can hardly wait to enter the competition again!

Me and my husband went every year since we met in 2014. I’ve been going all my life but now live in Virginia.

Picture booth was a favorite of ours (as my daughter grew!)!

Military Appreciation Day is one of my favorite days . It is so because it gives me an opportunity to be able to meet servicemen as well as shake hands with those who wish to offer gratitude for my own service!

It’s not so much, one fair story as it is ALL fair stories. My family has been going to the fair since we moved to Sacramento in 1977. We would go together every Friday night it was running. In 1986 we moved to Mariposa County and we STILL went for opening day every year. Once I started driving, I took my friends every Fri of the fair. This is the first year since I was 7, that we have not been. This is one of the things I miss the most about this COVID-19. At least I have ALL my past memories.
