Do you create unique, locally made products and dream of sharing them with over 600,000 attendees at the 2025 California State Fair?

Back for its second year, Rustic Charm Marketplace is a special hub designed to showcase the best of California’s local artisans and producers! This dynamic space will highlight handcrafted goods and homegrown creations, drawing hundreds of thousands of fairgoers eager to support local talent and find one-of-a-kind items. If it’s made in California and reflects our state’s vibrant culture, we’re interested!

The vendor fee to participate is $600.00 per business, with a $200.00 non-refundable deposit. This deposit is due immediately upon receiving your acceptance letter. Letters will need to be signed and returned with your initial deposit. Additionally, there will be a 10% commission on products and services sold. Lower your fee with volunteer time! For every 8 hours of volunteer time, you will receive a $80.00 credit, with a maximum of $240.00 credit for 24 hours of volunteer time.

Selected applicants will be notified throughout the month of May for the 2025 Rustic Charm Marketplace. Deadline is June 15th or until full, so apply soon!

You must have a California Sellers Permit in order to sell your product at the Fair because it is a state run facility. If you do not have a California Sellers Permit, you can apply for one online through the Franchise Tax Board.
*You must have a Cottage Kitchen Certificate if you are a farm to table or food vendor. **You should also note if you are a farm to table or food vendor you will need to obtain a Health Department Certificate in order to participate and sell your goods in the marketplace. You will not need to get this until you have been notified that you have been selected. Farm to Table/Food vendors are required to name the 21st District Agricultural Association on their insurance.
Please list in detail a complete list of all products you are hoping to bring. If some items overlap with other vendors, you might be asked to only bring select items. An incomplete list of items will result in an incomplete application. Incomplete applications will not be eligible for selection.
*All items must be handmade or repurposed goods.

Please attach no more than five product photos. These photos will be used when your application is being reviewed. If selected these photos may be used on The California State Fair and Rustic Charm Local Marketplaces social media. You can also email your product photos to sonflowerproductions@gmail.com. Please attached your business name to all photos. Failure to attach pictures will result in an incomplete application.

    *All complete applications will go through a jury selection process to become a vendor.
    VENDOR DEPOSITS/PAYMENT INFORMATION: Vendor Space fee: $600.00 When you have been notified that you have been selected as a 2024 Cal Expo State Fair Rustic Charm Marketplace vendor a $200.00 non-refundable deposit is due (no later than July 31, 2025). Failure to pay this deposit will result in you losing your spot as a vendor for the 2024 Cal Expo State Fair Rustic Charm Marketplace.
    The remaining $400.00 will be paid from sales made at the 2025 Cal Expo State Fair. You will have the opportunity to volunteer and earn credit towards the remaining $400.00. For every 8 hours of volunteering, you will receive $80.00 credit with a maximum of $240.00 credit for 24 hours.
    In addition to the space fee, The Cal Expo State Fair will retain 10% of your net sales. Deposit payments can be made via cash, credit card or check made payable to Son Flower Productions. Good Luck and see you at The Fair!
