Chef Cooking Challenge at Save Mart California's Kitchen

Join us in the Save Mart Supermarkets California’s Kitchen Exhibit at the California State Fair, July 12-28, 2024. Our goal is to promote California agricultural and food products to our 750,000+ guests by providing an engaging and FUN experience.

Producers, restaurants, and all levels of food and AG industry experts and enthusiasts are invited to participate. View the programs we have developed to offer a variety of options for participation here.

The SMUD Energy Efficient Cooking Theatre will feature; three (3) induction cooking stations that will offer culinary demonstrations throughout the 17 days of the fair. The SMUD Energy Efficient Cooking Theatre is the centerpiece of the Save Mart California’s Kitchen Exhibit, which is dedicated to California’s cultural diversity and lifestyle of the health-conscious consumer. With the public’s keen interest in the “Farm to Fork” movement, the exhibit will also feature the Taste of California Classroom, providing tasting classes, and several “Taster’s Row” sampling booths that will allow guests to try produce and foods that they have never experienced, along with many other interactive exhibits, competitions and educational displays.
